Course Progress Flags

Master It now has Course Progress Flags. "Whoop-de-doo!" you might say. "What is that and what does it do for me?"

Well, I'm glad you asked.

What are Course Progress Flags?

First of all, these are flags that you can set when you are finished reading a page in one of the courses. When you come back you will see a list of progress flags on the left side that shows you where you left off. Now you can quickly get back to the spot you left off without having to bookmark things in your browser and keep track of all that!

How Does it Work?

At the bottom of each page of a course you will find a link that says Course Progress. When you click on that it will set the flag for you. It's that simple.

You'll notice that the text changes to Clear Course Progress. If you click on it again, the flag is removed.

One thing that you might notice is that the list of flags on the left does not immediately change, but as soon as you go to another page or refresh the current page the new flag will be there.

What is Planned for the Future?

Now, the flags are not perfected yet. Here are some of the things I'm working on.

  • I plan to have a way that you will set only 1 flag at a time in a given course, but I haven't got that ready yet. So, in the mean time you will need to clear the flag manually before you begin reading again.
  • I want to replace the link to set and clear the flags into a button with really cool graphics!
  • I want to have the Course Progress Flags section on the left update as soon as you set or clear a flag.
