Beginners Piano -- Video 1

Minor Chords

This video takes us into the realm of minor chords. It begins by showing us how to form a minor triad by lowering the middle note (the third) by half a tone.

The instructor takes us through the C to Cm, F to Fm and G to Gm chords first. Then he continues by showing the minor triads that are played completely on the white keys (Dm, Em and Am).

Note that minor chords are indicated by the m designation following the root note.
